MR FOGG have been gathering an array of appreciation from the music media of late and following their performance at the Lock Tavern I can see why. A delightful set of tracks from their recently released album Moving Parts. Quite awkward to photograph, with the Lock being so intimate in terms of space, I gave myself one song to shoot with flash, so as not to annoy the band. Of course I got permission from the guys first…

Experimental German outfit, Dopplereffekt brought an eerie silence to the crowd at Hearn St car park as part of Friday’s Stag and Dagger festival. Their mysterious appearance (dressed in black with facial masks), their un-animated presence – with only hands moving when poised above the keyboards and haunting electro/techno made for a surreal audio and visual set. Intriguing to say the least.
